In this workshop we will cover light and how highlight, half tone, shadow and bounce light can be used to create volume. How an object's surface and character, effects how much light it reflects or absorbs and how understanding volume and material can help us create complex, painterly techniques such as NMM, ambience/atmosphere and OSL. Making these volumes work in 3D. Creating a narrative and exploring character We will also cover: Value, colour saturation and colour harmony. The importance of good reference 'Special effects' such as subsurface scattering and the use of environmental bounce lights to help you elevate your work even further. Each student will be presented with a swag bag of hobby supplies to help them on their painting journey!
