Print specs

Print quality: 300 DPI CMYK, printed in-house

Edge to edge: 1.5" of extra art past every edge, so there are no white borders

Safe zone: keep logos and text 2" in from the edge; the builder warns you

Your uploads: JPG, PNG or WebP up to 50 MB; 150 DPI or better at print size

FAQ

Can I use my own artwork?

Yes. Upload a full-mat image or add logos and images on top of any FLG design. You need to own or have permission to use everything you upload; see the Custom Mat Terms in the builder.

Will the colors match my screen?

Very closely, but screens vary and print uses CMYK ink, so bright neon colors can print a little softer. Your proof is made from the actual print file, so layout and placement are exact.

My logo looks blurry in the builder. What do I do?

The builder tells you when an image is below 150 DPI at the size you've set. Use a larger original file, or make the image smaller on the mat.

Can I save a design and finish it later?

Yes. Click Save, and your design appears in My designs. Logged-in customers can open saved designs from any device.

Can I return a custom mat?

Custom mats are made to order, so they can't be returned for a change of mind. If there's a printing defect, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos and we'll make it right.
