The war for the warp-cursed world of Croatoas continues, and Lieutenant Commander Hadeya Etsul and the crew of the Leman Russ Demolisher Steel Tread are once again thrown into the thick of battle.

After earning the title of ‘Giant-killers’ for their actions during Operation Jotunn, Etsul is given command of a convoy of armour and infantry. Her mission is to escort a legendary lord commissar through dangerous contested territory and help reinforce the faltering Ruega Front.

The assignment quickly becomes more complicated. A new crew member threatens the carefully established balance aboard Steel Tread, while a deadly enemy waits unseen in the mountain passes ahead. As the dangers mount, Etsul must make increasingly difficult choices and risk even the trust of her own crew to complete her mission.
